Safety Ring

Invented by Marcel Opinel in 1955, the Virobloc safety ring is fitted to all folding Opinel knives from the N° 06.

Cut out of stainless steel, the Virobloc has two sections, one fixed and one sliding.

In addition to locking the blade open for safety in use, it is now possible to lock the blade closed for safety in transport

Sandvik 12C27 modified stainless steel. It is anti-corrosive thanks to the addition of chrome and requires no special maintenance.

Its carbon content of at least 0.40% gives excellent cutting edge.

Next Day UK Delivery £8.00
Orders placed BEFORE 1pm on days we are open will be dispatched the same day, usually by Royal Mail or occasionally by Courier and will require a signature. Any Next Day orders received after this time will be dispatched the following working day. Please note any orders placed AFTER 1pm on Fridays will be dispatched on the following Monday (excluding Bank Holidays).

Availability
As a busy independent retailer, very occassionally we may not have the ordered item in stock. In this case we will inform you of the situation so you can decide how we proceed to your satisfaction. For example, the item may be on order from our supplier, Criterion will send a sleeping bag direct to the customer on our behalf (48 hour Parcel Force delivery).

If you're returning an item because it's unwanted or you need to exchange it, we ask that you pay for the cost of return carriage. Exchanges for non-sale items will be sent free of charge. Standard delivery charges will apply to sale-item / special offer exchanges.
All unwanted items must be new and unused, and with original labels attached, along with all receipts / proof of purchase. Please ensure the item(s) are packaged securely and suitably for transit
