A wide 7cm brim and a darker colour under brim protects against sun glare, the UV rating of 50+ protects all sides of the head and neck from the sun, while a treatment on the outer fabric keeps mosquitoes and midges away
There is a a midge and mosquito proof head net included in crown stash pocket, while a one-handed drawcord adjuster at the back allows for a better, quicker fit.

The tiny nano-fibrils enhance the softness of the fabric, giving it the benefit of being as comfortable as cotton, while out-performing cotton by not shrinking, wrinkling, or fading in colour.
Additionally, SUPPLEX® is still able to hold the durability and strength of nylon
DEET-based insect-repellent treatment on the outer fabric, protecting against biting insects such as mosquitoes and midges that may carry harmful diseases like Malaria.
The Advisory Committee for Malaria Prevention in Travellers recommends DEET-based insect repellents as offering the most effective protection.
Their treatment is guaranteed for at least five washes.
