Three entrepreneurial brothers. One great invention. In 1933 the brothers Björn, Alvar and Arvid Kjellström, and Gunnar Tillander, invented the first ever liquid-filled compass, and the Silva story began

Silva Field is an entry level compass designed to meet the demands of schools, youth groups and leisure outdoor navigators.

The Silva Field has base plate map-measuring in mm and scales of 1:50,000 and 1:25,000 compatible with most maps

The compass features a rubber bezel for improved comfort and grip, and a detachable safety-release lanyard - a reliable companion in all outdoor situations!

Orders received BEFORE 1pm on days we are open are usually dispatched the same day with Royal Mail using a 2nd Class delivery service (normally 2-3 working days).

Orders over £30 will be sent Tracked & Signed For.

Please note that a different delivery method, e.g Courier, may be used depending on the size/weight of your order and if so we will try to inform you before dispatch.

Next Day UK Delivery £8.00
Orders placed BEFORE 1pm on days we are open will be dispatched the same day, usually by Royal Mail or occasionally by Courier and will require a signature. Any Next Day orders received after this time will be dispatched the following working day. Please note any orders placed AFTER 1pm on Fridays will be dispatched on the following Monday (excluding Bank Holidays).

Availability
As a busy independent retailer, very occassionally we may not have the ordered item in stock. In this case we will inform you of the situation so you can decide how we proceed to your satisfaction. For example, the item may be on order from our supplier, Criterion will send a sleeping bag direct to the customer on our behalf (48 hour Parcel Force delivery).

If you're returning an item because it's unwanted or you need to exchange it, we ask that you pay for the cost of return carriage. Exchanges for non-sale items will be sent free of charge. Standard delivery charges will apply to sale-item / special offer exchanges.
All unwanted items must be new and unused, and with original labels attached, along with all receipts / proof of purchase. Please ensure the item(s) are packaged securely and suitably for transit
